Empress Elixer Cocktail Recipe
We helped Nine Lives Bazaar launch their latest collection 'Empress' in serious style at Osteria Casuarina this month.
With a gin discovery bar, tarot readings, scrumptious grazing platters and an impromptu soul train, it was a night to remember!
When the girls asked us to design a special cocktail for the occasion, we wanted to create something that was beautiful, played on the rusty sunset colour scheme that Nine Lives is famous for, and celebrated native flavours of this home grown Australian brand.
We came up with the 'Empress Elixer'. Find the recipe below.
- 45ml Ink Gin
- 10ml Finger Lime Syrup from The Native Collection
- 15ml Riberry Syrup from The Native Collection
- 15ml fresh lime juice
- Edible flowers from Bloom to garnish
Fill a champagne flute halfway with ice. Gently layer finger lime syrup, riberry syrup and fresh juice over ice. Slowly top with soda water to preserve the layered look, leaving room to float Ink Gin on top. Garnish & serve with a straw, stirring through the layers before drinking.
The slight tartness of native riberry perfectly balances with the sweet finger lime syrup. when you stir the Empress Elixer through, it mixes to a pretty, soft pink. Perfection!
